How to Request Account Deletion

To delete your account, you should:

1. Contact PawFav by emailing legal@pawfav.ai
2. Provide identity verification as required
3. Specify that you wish to terminate your account
4. You'll receive a response within 5 business days
5. Written confirmation will be provided for all data actions

What Happens When You Delete Your Account

Immediate Actions (Within 24 Hours)

When you terminate your account:

• Account access is disabled within 24 hours
• Personal information is immediately flagged for deletion and becomes inaccessible, with permanent deletion completed within 30 days of account termination
• Active subscriptions are cancelled
• Sharing activity records associated with your account are deleted

Exceptions: For terminations involving violations of our Terms of Service or legal issues, we reserve the right to immediately restrict access to your account and data. Data associated with your account will be handled in accordance with applicable laws, our Terms of Service, and legal requirements. We may retain certain information as required for legal, fraud prevention, or business purposes.

30 Day Data Export Request Period Following Account Termination

• You have thirty (30) days following account termination to request a copy of your account information, uploaded photos, and AI-generated content
• Limited customer service channels remain available specifically for data export requests during this period, subject to identity verification
• Data export may be restricted where disclosure would compromise ongoing legal proceedings, law enforcement investigations, or fraud prevention activities, and only to the extent required by applicable law
• For accounts terminated due to security violations or fraudulent activity, additional verification measures may apply

Note: Data export requests may be subject to the exceptions outlined in the Exceptions to Data Deletion section below.

After the 30 Day Period

• Personal information: Deleted within 30 days of termination
• Uploaded photos: Deleted from active systems within 30 days
• Generated images: Deleted from user galleries within 30 days
• Usage logs: Anonymized after 30 days

Data That Is Retained

Some information is retained after account deletion:

• Transaction records: Kept for 7 years (tax compliance)
• Usage logs: Anonymized after 30 days
• Anonymized analytics data
• Aggregated usage statistics
• Legal compliance records
• Security audit logs
• Communication history: Retained for 2 years

Exceptions to Data Deletion

Data retention may be extended for:

• Legal compliance requirements
• Fraud prevention purposes
• Security incident investigations
• Active dispute resolution

Retention periods may be further extended if required by:

• Court order
• Legal hold
• Regulatory requirement
• Active investigation
• Dispute resolution

In cases where account termination involves violations of our Terms of Service or legal issues, certain data access, deletion, or export requests may be limited or denied if they would interfere with ongoing investigations, legal proceedings, or compliance with law enforcement directives. After the 30-day period, any remaining data will be deleted from our active systems, except where we are legally required to retain such information.

Verification of Data Deletion

If you want to verify that your data has been deleted:

1. Submit a written request to legal@pawfav.ai
2. Specify which data categories you're concerned about
3. Provide identity verification as required
4. Allow up to 30 days for processing from receipt of your verification
